Lengoo CEO speaks at German federal cabinet retreat

Lengoo co-founder and CEO Christopher Kränzler was invited by the Office of the German Chancellor to share his views as an AI expert at the closed cabinet meeting in Meseberg on Tuesday, 29 August 2023.

On the first day of the two-day retreat, a key topic of discussion was artificial intelligence. In addition to Kränzler, other esteemed experts including Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, Jonas Andrulis, CEO of Aleph Alpha, Professor Katharina Zweig of the University of Kaiserslautern (TU-KL), and Professor Christiane Wendehorst of the University of Vienna were also invited to share their insights.

The Cabinet focused on exploring how digitalization and artificial intelligence could be leveraged, drawing on the knowledge of these academic and start-up industry leaders. The Federal Chancellor highlighted the significant transformations occurring in this area, while the Federal Finance Minister Lindner referred to it as an “industrial revolution” brought about by artificial intelligence.

Kränzler shared with  German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Federal Cabinet the central role that Artificial Intelligence will play in driving economic growth and particularly stressed how customized and secure Large Language Models could be used in the public sector to drive efficiency. In addition, Kränzler's demonstrated several concrete use cases of Lengoo's Generative AI platform HALOS: content creation, knowledge discovery, text summarization, video transcription, and text translation.

The retreat also delved into digital advancements, particularly data protection and the utilization of data. To enrich this conversation, Christiane Wendehorst from the University of Vienna and Christian Klein, Board Spokesman of SAP, participated in the discussions, bringing valuable perspectives to the table.
